The soft colors of this set of 12 Royal Crown Derby 19th c. dessert plates work beautifully with decorator's favorite palette-peach, sage green, cream, rose and beige. Each plate is framed by an unusual simple gold border all in the Aesthetic Movement style. The soft ivory ground is decorated with hand painted foliage, flowers, fruit and butterflies, each one unique. Perfect for dessert, salad and of course these will make a stunning display. Made in England, Ca. 1889. All in excellent condition, commensurate with age.
